The temple trust has decided to start the process of the consecration of Ram Mandir after Makar Sankranti on January 14 and observe a 10-day ritual of Lord Ram’s pran pratishtha.

A trust has been formed for the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, named “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra“. Everyone is giving their donation to this trust and it is also exempt from income tax.

If we talk about the methods of donation, the donation can be done by giving cash directly or by sending it to the account of the trustor through an online medium.

The direct cash deposit will give you a receipt at the same time, whereas with an online payment, you will get a direct mail-generated receipt and the bank account transferee can generate the receipt from the official website.

On the official website of “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra”, an option has been given for people transferring from their bank accounts.

In this, a list of all the bank accounts associated with the trust has been given. You can deposit money in the trust’s bank account by looking at the bank account details.

In the history of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the date of August 5, 2020, has been recorded. From 1528 to 2020, there were many turning points in the history of 492 years. 

Some milestones were also crossed, especially on the day of November 9, 2019, when the Constitutional Bench of five judges delivered the historic verdict.

The Ayodhya land dispute case was one of the longest-running cases in the country.

Let me tell you when the foundation of this dispute was laid and important milestones of history till now. 

  • In the year 1528: Mir Baqi, the general of Mughal emperor Babur, built a mosque (at the disputed site). Regarding this, the Hindu community claimed that this place was the birthplace of Lord Rama and that there was an ancient temple here. 

According to the Hindu side, under the main dome was the birthplace of Lord Rama.

The Babri Masjid had three domes.

  • In 1853, riots took place for the first time around this place. 
  • In 1859, the British administration put up a fence around the disputed site. Muslims were allowed to worship inside the structure and Hindus outside on the platform.
  • The year 1949: The real controversy began on December 23, 1949, when the idols of Lord Ram were found in the mosque.
  • Hindus said that Rama had appeared, while Muslims alleged that someone quietly placed the idols there at night.
  • The UP government ordered the removal of the idols, but District Magistrate KK Nair expressed his inability to fulfil the order, fearing riots and inciting Hindu sentiments.

The government got it locked up as a disputed structure.

  • The year 1950: Two applications were filed in Faizabad Civil Court. In this, permission was sought for the worship of Ramlila in one and permission to keep the idol of Lord Ram in the disputed structure in the other. In 1959, Nirmohi Akhara filed the third application.
  • In the year 1961: the UP Sunni Waqf Board applied, demanding possession of the disputed site and the removal of idols.
  • In 1984, Vishwa Hindu Parishad constituted a committee to replace the disputed structure with the temple.
  • The year 1986: On the petition of UC Pandey, Faizabad District Judge KM Pandey ordered the removal of the lock on the structure on February 1, 1986, allowing Hindus to worship.
  • December 6, 1992: Lakhs of activists from Hindu organisations, including VHP and Shiv Sena, demolished the disputed structure. Communal riots broke out across the country, in which more than 2,000 people were killed.
  • In 2002, A train carrying Hindu activists was set on fire in Godhra, in which 58 people died. Due to this, more than 2,000 people died in the riots in Gujarat.
  • In 2010, the Allahabad High Court, in its judgement, ordered the division of the disputed site into three equal parts between the Sunni Waqf Board, Ram Lalla Virajman and Nirmohi Akhara.
  • Then, in 2011, the Supreme Court upheld the Allahabad High Court’s decision on the Ayodhya dispute.
  •  In 2017, the Supreme Court called for an out-of-court settlement. On March 8, 2019: the Supreme Court sent the matter for arbitration. The panel was asked to conclude the proceedings within 8 weeks.
  • 1 August 2019: Arbitration panel submits report.
  • August 2, 2019: The Supreme Court said that the mediation panel failed to resolve the matter.
  • August 6, 2019: The daily hearing of the Ayodhya case began in the Supreme Court.
  • 16 October 2019: Ayodhya case hearing completed. The Supreme Court reserved the decision.
  • November 9, 2019: The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the Ram temple. 2.77 acres of disputed land were given to the Hindu side. Order to provide 5 acres of land separately for the mosque.
  • 25 March 2020: After nearly 28 years, Ramlala shifted from the tent to the temple of fibre.

5 August 2020: Bhoomi worship programme at Ram Temple.

Invitation to 175 people, including PM Narendra Modi, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and saints. After reaching Ayodhya, PM Modi first visited Hanumangarhi and was involved in the Bhoomi Pujan programme at Ram Mandir.
